The Ones to Watch logoThe Mart Celebrates Fresh Hot Talent
The Merchandise Mart Design Center is recognizing some of the design world’s most exciting designers on the rise. To identify and celebrate Chicago’s next rising stars in the design industry, The Merchandise Mart Design Center will host on October 9, 2007 the Ones to Watch reception during Design Chicago, its two day market.

Join us to toast the Ones to Watch, three design firms selected by Merchandise Mart Showrooms for their stellar service, cutting-edge designs and flawless reputations, as we celebrate the next stars in the Chicago design community.

Chicagoan Matt Lorenz, winner of Bravo TV’s TOP DESIGN, is the principle of ML Design Studio, a high end interior design, interior architecture and landscape consulting fi rm. This fall, Lorenz will be showcased in The Mart’s DreamHome exhibit where he designed the ultra plush Bedroom.

Marshall Erb 2006 DreamHome alumni who designed the Living Room, Marshall Morgan Erb Design specializes in residential interior design including new construction, interior architectural design, among others. Treasure Hunt™, the luxury Sample Sale at The Merchandise Mart will kick off with a special Trade Preview on Friday, November 2, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Beyond getting excellent savings, let Treasure Hunt be a business resource for you, too. Consider using the Trade Preview as a tool to reconnect with former clients by letting them know that they can accompany you for exclusive early entrée. As always, admission is complimentary for design professionals.

On Saturday, November 3, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday, November 4, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Treasure Hunt is open to the public for an admission fee of $10. This event builds thousands of area shoppers’ desire for the building’s wealth of resources while demonstrating the importance of working with a design professional.

The Merchandise Mart Design Center, partnered with Metropolitan Home magazine, invites you to celebrate Chicago design. The third annual DreamHome lives up to the high precedents set by the last two design teams. Be sure to stop in and see the nine rooms, featuring 50 Mart showrooms and 30 individual lines. View your favorite resources assembled together in a unique and captivating setting.
