The Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. is committed to protecting your privacy. We have provided this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

This notice applies only to the information collected on this web site, and does not apply to any other information MMPI collects about you in other forums, such as at one of our shows, through a "snail" mailing response, or over the phone.

How and What We Collect
We have several different information collection areas on our site, from job availability and tour inquiry forms to online show registration and newsletter sign-up forms. We collect the information we need to respond to your request, which typically includes such contact information as e-mail address, first and last name, street address, telephone and fax number, as well as title and corporate affiliation. We do not currently have online payment for our shows, and do not collect financial information on our site. On each information collection area we will indicate what information is required in order for us to process your request.

Like most Internet sites, we collect some passive information from our visitors in order to properly maintain our site and determine what areas are more popular than others. We use passive tracking mechanisms to compile statistics that show, for example, the daily number of visitors to our sites. These statistics are used internally to better design our web sites and provide services to the public.

How Your Information Is Used
We use the information you provide to respond to your particular request, for example, to send you the newsletter in which you expressed an interest; to register you for the event you selected; or to tell you about tours at one of our facilities. We will also use your contact information to tell you about other products, services, or events in which you believe you may be interested. From time to time we may share your information with trusted third parties in whose products or services we believe you may be interested. We will also disclose your information if required by law to do so.

If you find that information you have provided to us in connection with a particular show or event is incorrect, you can edit your MMPI registration information at any time by re-registering for that show or event. If the event has passed, you may contact us at webmaster@mmart.com to update your information. If you submitted information to us in a different on-line forum, please contact us at webmaster@mmart.com to update your information.

In general we presume that by providing your information on this site, you are doing so because you wish to receive information from MMPi or a trusted third party in whose products or services you may be interested. However, if this is not the case, and you do not wish to receive information from us or third parties we select, please contact us at webmaster@mmart.com. In some cases, when registering for an event, we may ask you whether you would like further information sent to you. If you choose "Yes," you are giving us permission to send you notifications of special MMPI events and updates and to release your personal information to sponsors, partners, and exhibitors for their use. How We Maintain the Security of Your Information
We use standard industry practices, including storage of data in password protected files, to maintain the security and integrity of your information. We collect show registration information over a secure Internet connection. In addition, once received, only employees who need to view your information have access to these files. We do not collect financial or other "sensitive" information on our web site.
